Make a Difference in your Community
Right in the Community is committed to finding, providing and creating services for people with developmental disabilities that are right here in our community--the community where we work and play and live. Children should not have to be transported miles away to "special" schools. They should not have to be sent away to institutions. Doctors, schools, programs... all these things should be located right here in our community for these kids and adults.
To that end, we hold an annual golf tournament that allows you to help us in our quest to provide these services to our families. We recruit golfers to play 100 holes for Right in the Community. Each golfer is asked to make an effort to raise $2500 or $25.00 per hole played. In 2007, our golfers raised over $70,000 to help us build homes for adults with cognitive impairments.
How can YOU help? Sponsor a golfer. Be a Golfer sponsor and a hero to our families. $250.00 buys a hole sponsorship. Put your name or your company's name out there on the green with a sign, and in our program and golfer guides.
